GlowMap (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use glowsmap.com.

1. Information we collect

When you use GlowMap, we collect:

• Quiz answers: your skin type, concerns, current routine, budget preferences, and other information you voluntarily provide in our quiz.
• Selfie photo: a photo you choose to upload for cosmetic skin analysis. See Section 3 for how we handle this.
• Email address: to deliver your report and any related correspondence.
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details on our servers.
• Usage data: standard analytics (page views, clicks, anonymous device info) via cookies and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

• To generate your personalized skincare analysis report.
• To deliver the report to your email.
• To recommend skincare products through affiliate links.
• To improve our service.
• To respond to support inquiries.

3. Your selfie photo — special handling

Your selfie is processed in real time by our AI to generate your personalized cosmetic analysis. After your report is generated, the photo is automatically and permanently deleted from our servers.

• We do not store your photo.
• We do not share your photo with third parties.
• We do not use your photo to train AI models.
• We do not use your photo for marketing.

4. Biometric information disclosure

If you reside in Illinois, Texas, Washington, or other jurisdictions with biometric privacy laws, please note: GlowMap's AI may analyze facial features in your selfie for the limited purpose of generating your cosmetic skin report. This analysis is transient and the underlying image is deleted immediately after processing. You consent to this processing when you check the consent box before uploading your selfie. You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Sharing your information

We share information only with:

• Stripe: to process payments.
• Supabase: our database provider (encrypted at rest).
• Anthropic: our AI provider that generates your report (processes your photo transiently; does not retain it).
• Resend: our email delivery provider.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

6. Affiliate disclosure

GlowMap participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. We earn commissions from qualifying purchases made through links in your report. These affiliate relationships do not influence the products we recommend — we recommend what we believe is genuinely best for your skin type and budget.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to:

• Access the information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information
• Withdraw consent for processing
• Opt out of marketing communications

California residents: under the CCPA, you have additional rights including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of any sale (we do not sell personal information).

EU/UK residents: under GDPR, the legal basis for processing your information is your consent (which you may withdraw at any time).

8. Children

GlowMap is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

9. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
